Inspired by the myths and folklore that make our Island so unique, we’re beyond thrilled that Elder Shee is Craft Gin Club's Gin of the Month for June 2021 — giving all their members a taste of Manx midsummer magic.
Distilled exclusively for Craft Gin Club, the UK’s No. 1 gin subscription club, this magical blend weaves a wondrous journey through heady floral notes of elderflower, with a bright and brilliant citrus tang of pink grapefruit and lemon, and herbal aromatics of lemon thyme and rosemary.

It’s always particularly exciting to find a distiller creating something outstanding right on our doorstep, which is why we are so thrilled to be featuring Fynoderee Manx Dry Gin - Elder Shee Edition as our June 2021 Gin of the Month.
This special edition gin, which was actually created exclusively for Craft Gin Club and inspired by the flowers which cover the Island at this wonderful time of year, perfectly encapsulates the "spirit" of the Isle of Man, and we can’t wait.”
Featuring beautiful new illustrations from the always extraordinary Julia Ashby Smyth, the label’s vivid design brings the mythical origins of our new Manx Dry Gin to life: it is believed that faeries reside deep within the ancient roots of the elder tree, or ‘tramman’ in Manx Gaelic. No Manx person would dare cut down an elder tree for fear of angering the fae folk, which is why the Island enjoys such a glorious bloom of elderflowers in the summer months. The faerie on the bottle is the Elder Shee (‘shee’ is the Manx word for ‘faerie’), a spritely being conjured from our own wild imaginings.
To have crafted a brand new Manx spirit exclusively for one of the UK’s largest and most prestigious gin clubs is a real moment for us at Fynoderee, but it also places a spotlight on our enduring inspiration — our enchanted Island.
We’re hoping that a taste of Elder Shee will be enough to tempt new visitors to our shores once the borders are open, where they’ll be free to discover a rich tapestry of truly brilliant local Manx businesses!
Elder Shee will be available to purchase from www.fynoderee.com from 1st July and from The Fynoderee Distillery Tasting Bar and Shop from 2nd July 2021.
