As the days begin to shorten and autumn settles over the Island, we’ve been looking back at what has been a really special summer at Fynoderee. There’s something we love about seeing new faces walk through the doors of the Distillery. Some have travelled a few miles down the road, while others have come from thousands of miles away, and this summer, we’ve welcomed plenty of both.
With 37 cruise ships bringing 16,818 passengers to the Island this year, it’s been wonderful to see so many visitors making their way north to Ramsey and discovering Fynoderee along the way.
We’ve welcomed groups from 16 different tour operators, from cruise passengers with just a few precious hours to explore the Island, to coach parties with a little more time to discover what makes the Isle of Man so special.
When we sat down and looked at the numbers, even we were a little surprised. We’ve been running around 10 tours a month (roughly one every three days) and hosted 1,800 people. That’s 1,800 people who have heard a little Manx folklore, discovered the stories behind Fynoderee, seen where our spirits are made and, of course, enjoyed a taste or two along the way.
There’s something quite lovely about knowing that, as those visitors head home to different corners of the world, they’ll be taking a little piece of the Isle of Man with them. Whether that’s a story to share with friends, a memory of their time in Ramsey, or a bottle of Fynoderee to open when they get home.
And while the summer tour season may be drawing to a close, the energy certainly isn’t. We'll continue to run tours throughout the winter and the Distillery Bar will keep things flowing with cocktail evenings, special events and exciting collaborations with other local businesses.

There are summers that seem to disappear in a flash, and this has definitely been one of them. Looking back, it feels like Team Fyn has barely stood still. We’ve travelled from one end of the Island to the other, been involved in weddings, community events and poured more drinks than we can count and we've loved every minute of it.
There’s a moment every year when you know TT has arrived. The roads change, bikes seem to appear everywhere, old friends return, new faces arrive and there’s that unmistakable buzz around the Island. We love it. But this year, even by TT standards, things felt a little different.
One of our favourite things about summer on the Isle of Man is just how much is going on, and how many opportunities there are to get out, meet people and be part of it.
