One of our favourite things about summer on the Isle of Man is just how much is going on, and how many opportunities there are to get out, meet people and be part of it.
This year, we’ve had a brilliant time at some of the Island’s biggest events, from the Southern Agricultural Show in Ballasalla and the Royal Manx Agricultural Show in Patrick to the Big Manx Feast in Douglas.
Three very different events, but all with that unmistakable Manx atmosphere. For us, these events are about much more than selling bottles. We love catching up with people who already know Fynoderee, hearing what they’ve been enjoying and seeing plenty of familiar faces stop by for a chat. Just as importantly, we get to meet people discovering us for the first time and introduce them to what we make and the stories behind it.
Of course, it was great to see the bottles flying off the stand too! Our Spiced Rum proved particularly popular, alongside our Seasonal Gin and Eldershee Rosé with plenty of tasting, talking and recommendations happening throughout each event.
But what we probably enjoy most is simply being there. There’s an energy around these events that reminds us why we love being an Isle of Man distillery. Local producers, businesses, farmers, families and visitors all coming together and celebrating so much of what the Island has to offer. We’re incredibly proud to be part of that.
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, tried something new, bought a bottle or simply had a chat with us. We had a fantastic time and we’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year.
There are summers that seem to disappear in a flash, and this has definitely been one of them. Looking back, it feels like Team Fyn has barely stood still. We’ve travelled from one end of the Island to the other, been involved in weddings, community events and poured more drinks than we can count and we've loved every minute of it.
There’s a moment every year when you know TT has arrived. The roads change, bikes seem to appear everywhere, old friends return, new faces arrive and there’s that unmistakable buzz around the Island. We love it. But this year, even by TT standards, things felt a little different.
As the days begin to shorten and autumn settles over the Island, we’ve been looking back at what has been a really special summer at Fynoderee.
