The battle of the seasons begins, and we’ll be at “The Black Dog Oven” to bring a suitably fiery Fyn Bar to Oie Voaldyn this Sunday!
Set on the enchanting shores of Peel, the ancient castle looming nearby, the Oie Voaldyn Fire Festival sets the stage for the Summer and Winter Queens to reprise their timeless challenge. Only one shall claim victory, and the spirits will be lively. We’ll make sure of it.
FYND US AT THE BLACK DOG OVEN – QUAYSIDE PEEL
Black Dog Oven will be opening their doors for the very first time in their new permanent quayside guise….come down and see for yourself the incredible job they are doing transforming their space in to wonderful permanent ‘wood fired oven’ restaurant and bar, The Black Dog team are almost ready to go, but for Oie Voaldyn only…. we are helping out with a pop up Fyn Bar so that they can concentrate on serving their delicious wood fired pizzas in the new set-up for the first time!
The Oie Voaldyn Fire Festival is free to attend and starts from 2pm on Sunday 1st May, and the “Black Dog Fyn Bar” will be there from noon until late with a mighty Manx menu of perfect serve Fyn & Tonics, specially crafted Fyn Cocktails, beers, cider, and soft drinks.
To accompany your fiery Fyn moments, Black Dog Oven will be dishing up an array of truly sensational pizzas. Believe us – each slice is simply divine!
With live music, food, drink, games, fireworks and more, there’s no finer way to celebrate our ancient Manx traditions than getting yourself to Peel this bank holiday weekend.
Who knows. You may even spot a familiar horned-and-hoofed being of lore doing the rounds…
