Unlocked and Raring to Distil!

Unlocked and Raring to Distil!

Just before Lockdown 3.0 we were lucky to be able to film the build of our new “Figgins Reciprocator Dual Kettle Still System” at our distillery in Ramsey.

Our Master Distiller, Rusty, designed this innovative still system himself — the only one of its kind in Europe!

Both he and Co-Founder Paul had far too much fun assembling and building it… up until the point where they realised they couldn’t quite ‘get it up’ by themselves and had to enlist the help of our contractors, Mike Culshaw Builders.

This still system is the gleaming centrepiece of our award-winning craft distillery and will be put to work on our aged spirits programme to produce our groundbreaking new Fynoderee Manx Malt Whiskey and other Manx grain to bottle products presently in development.

We can’t wait to show off this new piece of spangly kit when we reopen to the public. Lockdowns this year have set things back considerably, but it’s looking good for a late June reopening of our shop, tasting bar and tours programme launch!

Huge thanks to Dario from Visual Picnic for the Fyntastic videography and to Visit Isle of Man for kindly supporting our film production. We will be so excited to welcome visitors back to the Island, and we have something very special for them when they do!

(Of course it goes without saying that we can’t wait to welcome all our local Fyn Fans too.)
